The seminar on “Career Paths in the Tech Industry” held on 22 August 2023 organized by the department of CSE associated with Notre Dame University Computer Club (NDUBCC) was a significant gathering of academic and industry experts, along with students eager to explore their future careers in the field of technology. The event was marked by the presence of distinguished individuals, including honorable Pro Vice-Chancellor Father Charles B. Gordon, Treasurer Fr. Subash Adam Pereira, Dean of Faculty Prof. Dr. Aloke Kumar Chakraborty, Chairman of the Department of CSE Prof. Dr. Shaheena Sultana, Club Moderator Prof. A.H.M Saiful Islam, Co-Moderator Lecturer Humayara Binte Rashid, Associate Prof. Dr. Fernaz Narin Nur and faculty members including Asst. Prof. Stanly Pius Rozario, Lecturer Nafisa Tabassum, and Lecturer Afsana Sharmin Shanta.
The seminar commenced with an inspiring speech by Prof. Dr. Aloke Kumar Chakraborty, who emphasized the importance of gaining knowledge and continuously striving for personal and professional growth. Our honorable Father Charles B. Gordon and Fr. Subash Adam Pereira also shared their valuable experiences and insights. They provided advice to the seminar attendees and they expressed their joy at the success of the seminar and marveled at the progress of technology and invention.
Today, we had the privilege of welcoming five esteemed alumni from the CSE department as our distinguished guests. They were Md. Sanju Islam of CSE 2B who is the Department manager of The Home Depot situated in Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada, Richard Tirtho Biswas from CSE 7 who is currently working as a software engineer at SEBPO, Khaled Redwan from CSE 2A functioning as a business development specialist at Intellier limited, Ricky Francis Rozario from CSE 2B working as a lead software developer and coordinator of IT of Notre Dame University Bangladesh and lastly Ariful Haque Hridoy from CSE 1 employed as IT system engineer at Streat Media in Brussels, Belgium.
