Report on Workshop “Wealth and Welfare Business: A Sustainable Business Model”

A workshop was held on July 18, 2023, entitled “Wealth and Welfare Business: A Sustainable Business Model” and it was organized by the Department of Business Administration in the auditorium of Notre Dame University Bangladesh (NDUB) from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm. The model was presented by Md. Mashiur Rahman, First Assistant Vice President, Principal Office, Bank Asia Ltd as the keynote speaker. The aim of this workshop is to explore the extent to which a business model would support sustainable business strategy.

The model presented here is more practical and significant in doing business in the 21st century. Moreover, the focus of this session is to evaluate the present businesses and their problems, the necessity of a new business model, the benefits of the new model, and the limitations of the proposed model. Honorable Vice Chancellor Dr. Fr. Prof. Patrick D. Gaffney, CSC was present as the chief guest of the session. Other special guests are Fr. Charles B. Gordon, CSC, honorable Treasurer Fr. Adam Subash Pereira, CSC, Dean Prof. Aloke Kumar Chakraborty, and Registrar Dr. Fr. Leonard Shankar Rozario, CSC. The workshop was presided over by Prof. Dr. Parimal Chandra Datta, Chairman, Dept. of Business Administration. All the teachers of the department and a good number of students were present in the workshop. The program was hosted by Nazma Akhter and Vhokto Kumar Biswas.
