Common Waiver for all students

Eligibility for Waiver

Students may apply for the following categories of scholarships in the first semester—immediately after their admissions. Application forms can be collected from the Registrar’s office or can be downloaded from NDUB website (www.ndub.edu.bd).

  1. Merit-based Scholarship: (a) A 50% scholarship for the first semester of an undergraduate program is awarded to the student who obtained GPA 5 in SSC and HSC or equivalent, and the student who obtained six “A”s in O-Level and two “A”s and one “B” in A-Level or equivalent.

    (b) A 20% scholarship for the whole undergraduate program is awarded to the student who obtained Golden GPA 5 both in SSC and HSC or equivalent, and the student who obtained six “A”s in O-Level and two “A”s and one “B” in A-Level or equivalent. The recipient of this scholarship must continue to maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.70 in all semesters. If his/her CGPA goes lower than this (3.70), the scholarship will be suspended. However, it will be restarted if the student secures 3.70 in the following semester.
  1. Scholarship for the student from Christian missionary school/college: A 10% scholarship for the whole graduate and/or undergraduate program is granted to the student who completed his/her SSC and/or HSC from Christian Missionary school and/or college.
  2. Scholarship for the siblings: (a) Up to 40% scholarship for the whole graduate or undergraduate program is granted to the second sibling who came later and as long as both of them are students of NDUB.

    (b) Up to 75% scholarship for the whole graduate or undergraduate program is granted to the third sibling as long as all three of them are students of NDUB. The recipient of sibling scholarship must obtain a minimum CGPA of 3.00 in all semesters. If his/her CGPA goes lower than this, the scholarship will be granted only for one next semester. If he/she is able to regain the required CGPA, the scholarship will be continued; otherwise, revoked.
  1. Scholarship for the physically challenged students: Up to 70% scholarship for the whole graduate or undergraduate program is granted to a physically challenged student (visually impaired, hearing disordered, mobility impaired like loss of hands or feet, crippled, etc.). The recipient of this scholarship must obtain a minimum CGPA of 2.50 in all semesters. If a recipient’s CGPA goes lower than this, his/her scholarship will be granted only for one next semester. If he/she is able to regain the required CGPA, his/her scholarship will be continued; otherwise, it will be revoked.
  2. Scholarship for the Freedom Fighters: Up to 50% scholarship for the whole graduate or undergraduate program is granted to the child and grandchild of a Bir Freedom Fighter.
  3. Scholarship for the spouses: Up to 25% scholarship is granted to both spouses who are students of any graduate program of NDUB.
  4. Scholarship for the offspring or sibling of full-time faculty or employee. Up to 50% scholarship for the whole graduate or undergraduate program is granted to the offspring, and/or sibling of the full-time faculty member and full-time employee of NDUB. The recipient must maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.00 in all semesters. If he/she is unable to maintain this CGPA, his/her waiver will be discontinued.
  5. Scholarship for the NDUB graduates: Up to 20% scholarship for the whole graduate program is granted to the student who completed his/her undergraduate program from NDUB and enrolled for any of the master’s programs.
  6. Scholarship for the corporate group: Up to 25% scholarship will be given to the corporate group of at least 3 (three) students of any master’s program.
  • N.B.: A scholarship recipient must continue his/her studies without any break of semesters and maintain CGPA 3:00 (2.50 for the physically challenged students) in all semesters.
