Prize Giving Ceremony of Intra Department Programming Contest

Notre Dame University Bangladesh Computer Club and the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) jointly arranged a prize-giving ceremony for the intra-department programming contest to increase students’ interest in programming and for the first arranged “Saree-Panjabi Day” on 8 November, 2022 during the Club Hour on Tuesday. The students got the opportunity to learn teamwork and work on their problem-solving skills. It is a matter of great honor and pleasure to appreciate the students’ hard work and performance, who have made all proud in the intra-department programming contest. The contest was inaugurated on November 1.

Vice Chancellor professor Dr. Fr. Patrick Daniel Gaffney, CSC, attended the program as Chief Guest, Fr. Charles B. Gordon, CSC, coordinator of clubs also Assistant Director of Student Affairs Sr. Shagorica Maria Gomes, CSC, Dean professor Dr. Aloke Kumar Chakraborty, Head of CSE department AHM Saiful Islam, other faculty members and fellow participants with us for the prize giving ceremony and Sharee-Punjabi Day.

Team “Loops and Strings,” comprised of Atika Islam, Minhaz Morshed Chowdhury, and Md. Fatin Ishrak Mahi, achieved the runner-up position in junior section while team “SR,” consisting of Shah Md. Rafiul Kadir and MD Sonel Rana, won the junior section champion title.

Team, ‘Sparkles’ consisting Md Nazmul Islam, Rup Chowdhury, and Ariful Islam got the runner-up title. Stein Joachim Jslam Roberio, Zubayer Farazi, and Raisa Fabiha’s team ‘JO’ won the senior-level championship.

Mahathir F. Nabil, Muntasir Mahmud Rifat, Sadman Sohan, and Mustafizur Rahman Shakil was awarded with honorary certificates by the honorable guests for their significant contributions to the club.

The program ended with cultural performances including recitations, songs, and dance performances by the students of the CSE department.
