Notre Dame University Bangladesh (NDUB) warmly welcomed its newly recruited Registrar, Dr. Bro. Subal Lawrence Rozario, CSC, with a special ceremony on Wednesday (September 17, 2025). He officially assumed office as Registrar on Monday (September 15, 2025).
To mark this occasion, a welcoming program was held in the presence of Dr. Fr. Charles B. Gordon, CSC, Pro-Vice Chancellor of NDUB; Dominic Dilu Peris, Director of Human Resources; Fr. Ashim Theotonius Gonsalves, CSC, Deputy Registrar; and other distinguished persons of the university community.


The NDUB community expressed its enthusiasm and optimism that Dr. Subal’s leadership, academic expertise, and extensive administrative experience will significantly contribute to the university’s mission of value-based education and institutional development.
Born on March 27, 1960, in Daripara village, Kaliganj, Gazipur, Dr. Subal is the son of John De Rozario and Minoti Mary Gomes.
He brings with him a wealth of academic and administrative experience. He earned his Master’s in Science of Administration from the University of Notre Dame, Indiana, USA; an M.Ed. from Boston College, USA; and a Ph.D. from Lesley University, Boston, USA, where he received the Presidential Award in 2017.
Dr. Subal has held several key leadership positions, including Headmaster of St. Nicholas School & College (Dhaka), St. Placid’s School & College (Chattogram), and Bandura Holy Cross School & College (Dhaka). He also served as Principal of St. Philip’s School & College (Dinajpur) and Don Bosco School & College (Mymensingh).
In addition, he worked as Administrator and Head of HR at St. Gregory’s High School & College (Dhaka), and as Special Assistant to the Vice President for Finance and Assistant for International Students’ Programs at Stonehill College, Boston, USA.
Beyond his educational roles, Dr. Subal has served in the global Holy Cross Congregation, including as a member of its Education and Finance Commissions, and later as Third Assistant General in the Congregational General Administration in Rome.
Currently, he serves as Country Director of the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network (PWPN); Executive Board Member of Caritas Bangladesh; Member of the Finance & Audit Committees of both Caritas Bangladesh and MAWTS; Chairman of St. Joseph Higher Secondary School, Dhaka; and Treasurer of the Bangladesh Christian Education Board. He has also served as National Chaplain of the Bangladesh Catholic Teachers’ Team, Paris, France.
Furthermore, Dr. Subal has contributed to academic research, including his 2023 publication, Higher Education in Bangladesh: An Inquiry into Educational Equity at Notre Dame University Bangladesh (NDUB).
