The NDUB Law Club has successfully organized a court visit on 21st October, 2025, at the District and Sessions Judge Court, Munshiganj. The key object of the visit was to provide the law students with a practical understanding of court proceedings, judicial decorum, and the application of law in real-life situations.
A total of 42 students from LLB21 and LLB22 batches participated in this Official Court Visit guided by 5 faculties of the Department of Law, Notre Dame University Bangladesh. Shadika Haque Monia, and Arif Ahmed respectively the Moderator and Co-modeator of NDUB Law Club organized the program along with Dr. Md. Mustakimur Rahman, Associate Professor and Chairman, Department of Law, Tarikul Kabir and Md. Abu Bakar Siddique, Lecturers, Department of Law, Notre Dame University Bangladesh.
Upon arrival, students were warmly received by the court officials and MR. MD.JAKI-AL-FARABI,
Senior Assistant Judge, Munshiganj gave a brief session as welcoming words and directed the schedule of the court room visiting. Then the students were divided into 4 groups and were guided to different courtrooms by the court officials. Students observed both criminal and civil proceedings, including cases involving land disputes and criminal trials. The presiding judges, lawyers, and clerks demonstrated the proper procedures followed during hearings.
Students also interacted with practicing advocates who explained the role of lawyers, filing processes, and court management systems. The faculties ensured that students maintained proper decorum and closely followed the legal processes. The visit concluded with an interactive session with a senior judge who shared his valuable insights on judicial ethics, legal profession challenges, and career advice. Then Mr. Sabbir Mahamud Chowdhury, Hon’ble Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, Munshiganj had a session with the students. He delivered an inspirational speech to students addressing the students as future figures of the Judiciary and Court. His message was really enthusiastic and based on the practical point of view and experiences in the Judiciary.

First-hand experience of real courtroom environments better understanding of trial processes and legal documentation, inspiration to uphold professional integrity and justice in their future careers. The Court Visit 2025 was a successful and insightful academic program that effectively connected theoretical study with practical observation. Overall, it was a valuable learning experience that deepened students’ respect for the legal system and enriched their academic learning with practical exposure.
