Farjana Afroj – Lecturer in Microbiology

Farjana Afroj is a Lecturer in Microbiology at Notre Dame University Bangladesh (NDUB), having joined the department in July 2025. She earned both her BS and MS degrees in Microbiology from the University of Dhaka. Following her postgraduation, she worked as a research fellow at the National Institute of Biotechnology, gaining valuable experience in applied microbiological research.

Her research interests include probiotics, antibiotic resistance, the application of Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) as a biopesticide, and microbial roles in aquatic ecosystems. With expertise in both conventional microbiology and advanced molecular laboratory techniques, she is passionate about teaching, supporting student development, and engaging in meaningful research.

  • Design experiments and develop research protocols
