The Department of English of Notre Dame University Bangladesh launched its fall 2023 issue of the academic journal Critical Insights on October 22, 2023, in the conference room of the university.
Critical Insights is an international double-blind peer-reviewed academic journal that features scholarly writings on literature, cultural studies, applied linguistics, and ELT. Volume 2, Issue 1 of this journal featured 17 articles from Bangladeshi and international academics.
On the day of the launch, the Vice-Chancellor of NDUB and the Chief Advisor of the journal, Fr. Patrick Daniel Gaffney, CSC, the Director of the Language Center, Fr. Tom McDermott, CSC, the Editor of the journal and the Chair of the English Department, Professor Golam Sarwar Chowdhury, the Assistant Editor of the journal, Sami Hossain Chisty, the Assistant Exam Controller, Fr. Badhon Rozario, CSC, and the Chair of the Business Administration Department, Professor Parimal Chandra Datta, were present.
The editor expressed his joy at the timely publication of the journal and shared his plans to make the journal a globally acknowledged one.
The Vice-Chancellor spoke highly of the quality of the journal and thanked the editorial board for enriching the research exposure of the department.
