INTER COLLEGE STEM OLYMPIAD
The “INTER COLLEGE STEM OLYMPIAD” organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Notre Dame University Bangladesh (NDUB) took place on 6th October 2023 in the new building premises of NDUB. The event was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, esteemed faculty members, and the spontaneous participation of talented college students making it one of the most memorable and auspicious occasions.
Among the esteemed guests who attended the event were: Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Fr. Charles B Gordon, CSC, Treasurer Dr. Fr. Subash Adam Pereira, CSC, Registrar Dr. Fr. Leonard Shankar Rozario, CSC of NDUB. Their presence made the whole event more delightful and gratifying for students. It showed a great symbol of prominence and significance of the event to the honorable guardians. The faculty members from the CSE department provided unwavering support and guidance for the event, contributing to its success. Their supervision was always on the spot regarding the exam hall as well as the well-being of each participant.
The Inter College STEM Olympiad started at 9 a.m. and finished at 11 a.m. including the process of checking the exam sheet. Students from 27 colleges in total attended this Olympiad. NDUB was really appreciative of the efforts and earnestness of these talented students. In this battle of STEM, we got the top 5 winners among 70 students and 6 winners under general merit. 1st two winners are from Shamsul Hoque Khan School and College, rest three are from Notre Dame College. The other six students are from St. Gregory High School and College, St. Francis Xavier’s Girls’ School & College, Ideal School and College, Motijheel Model School and College, and St. Joseph Higher Secondary School.
Amidst of STEM event, the unveiling event of the magazine of CSE FEST 2023 also happened with the contributions of our honorable guests and faculty members. Each participant was given a gift hamper and snacks to symbolize appreciation. Winners of the STEM Olympiad were gifted with a handsome amount of prize money, Crest, and Certificates along with a gift hamper including a certificate, a pen, and a magazine.
The Inter College STEM Olympiad was a thriving event for students to showcase their talent in science, technology, engineering, and mathematical platforms. This will not only help students improve their skill but also promotes learning effectively. This event will boost their confidence and encourage them to join this type of event attentively in the future. The success of this event sets a high standard for future events and will encourage students of NDUB to go beyond the limits with magnificent effort when it comes to arranging another event like this.
