The administrative staff of Notre Dame University Bangladesh (NDUB) embarked on an exciting annual excursion, visiting two distinct and captivating locations – CCDB Climate Center and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Safari Park – in Gazipur.
The outing on Saturday (June 8, 2024) provided a perfect blend of educational enrichment and thrilling adventure, allowing the team to unwind and bond in a refreshing environment.
The team started the trip by visiting the CCDB Climate Center, an innovative hub focused on climate education and sustainable practices, in the morning. The tour began with an informative event at the center, where the staff learned about various climate change mitigation strategies and sustainable development initiatives.
Participants then enjoyed the natural beauty of the location, taking part in guided nature walks and capturing the scenic views through photography. After completing a short visit, the team participated in an exciting event arranged with games, cultural program, and raffle draw. They concluded their visit after enjoying a delicious lunch at the cafeteria of the center.
In the afternoon, the group ventured into the Bangabandhu Safari Park. The vast expanse and diverse wildlife of the park offered a stark contrast to the previous spot. The staff enjoyed an exhilarating safari ride, spotting majestic animals such as tigers, lions, bears, dears, zebras, monkeys, and nilgais in their natural habitats. The adventure continued with a visit to the aviary and aquarium, where vibrant colors and lively creatures captivated everyone’s attention. The team members got into their reserved buses to return to Dhaka after taking rest for a short time there.
The excursion was designed not only to provide relaxation and enjoyment but also to promote team-building and strengthen the bonds among the administrative staff. NDUB Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr. Fr. Charles B. Gordon, CSC highlighted the importance of such outings, stating, “Our administrative team is integral to the university’s success, and this annual excursion is our way of showing appreciation for their dedication.”
