A webinar on CMA profession

NDUB Business Club of Notre Dame University Bangladesh has organized a webinar named CMA Profession on 12th March 2022 on the Zoom platform. It’s a professional designation in the accounting and finance world that demonstrates the professional has expertise in strategic business management and financial accounting. CMA is an advanced, globally recognized, and very respected designation that demonstrates an aptitude for making financial decisions for businesses. It opens doors for students into the business world. It is a significant authentication of enthusiasm for enhancing students’ knowledge about building a career by doing CMA. Interested students registered for the webinar through our provided google form link. The guest of this session was Mr. Saiful Islam, CMA, Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting (ACT) of Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU), Dinajpur. He completed Cost and Management Accountant (CMA) in the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB).

The program was hosted by Mosammat Maliha Amin. At the beginning of the session, the host cordially welcomed everyone.  Our honorable business club Moderator and co-moderator Dr. Md. Abdul Hakim Sir was present in the webinar session  Then, without more delay, after giving the floor to our co-moderator and Md. Saiful Islam sir respectively the main session began. At first, the guest gave an introduction to CMA for business background students. He provided us with a brief explanation about management and traditional accountants. A long discussion about the track of building our career with the help of CMA was held. He discussed ICMAB (Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh) from which he completed CMA in detail. He gave detailed instruction on the entry criteria, requirements, studying technique, cost, and curricula of ICMAB. Finally, there was an interactive session in which the students were allowed to ask required questions, and the session conductor addressed them all.

Near about 50 students registered for the CMA Profession webinar and around 30 students were present in the whole session. The entire session was enjoyable and productive. The success of this webinar was due to inventive interactivity. The resource person’s pleasant demeanor made it simple and enjoyable for the participants to grasp the unknown and stay one step ahead in the competitive field of building a career.
