Notre Dame University Bangladesh welcomes fresher

Notre Dame University Bangladesh (NDUB) welcomed its fresher of spring semester on Saturday. The colorful orientation program was held at the open space of the university campus.

While addressing as the chief guest, BUET Prof Dr. Md Shohrab Hossain urged the students to participate in the extra-curricular activities to broaden their area of knowledge.

He said, “NDUB is providing the ethics-based education and I do believe that the students will learn so.”

Presiding the program Professor Father (Fr) Dr. Patrick D. Gaffney, CSC, Vice-Chancellor of NDUB said, “The future of this nation is depending on you. NDUB has all kinds of facilities of a university. You can enrich your caliber using those facilities.”

Referring to the students as the sign of freedom he expressed them as such young persons who can fight for the freedom to uphold it, the way the freedom fighters did half of the century ago.

Fr Tom McDermott, CSC, Director of English Language Center hosted the program, while other officials, faculty members of NDUB attended the session.

Dr. Fr Leonard Shankar Rozario, CSC, the Deputy Registrar spoke at the program.

National flag was hoisted and the national anthem was also sung during starting of the program.
