NDUB holds series of workshops to develop academic skills

Notre Dame University Bangladesh (NDUB) has recently organized a series of workshops titled “Developing Youth Academic Skills” for post-HSC students in three different dioceses of the country—Dhaka, Rajshahi, and Khulna.

The programs were arranged by the Public Relations (PR) Office of NDUB to introduce students to the university’s vision, values, and opportunities, while also guiding them to develop academic skills and inspiring them to pursue higher education in a nurturing, value-based environment.

The first program took place on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the Holy Cross Pastoral and Retreat Center, Bhadun, Gazipur. The second was held on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at the Christa Jyoti Pastoral Center in Rajshahi, while the third was conducted on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the Khulna Caritas Center.

In all three sessions, team members included Dr. Fr. Subash Adam Pereira, CSC, Treasurer of NDUB; Emad Uddin Sordar, Senior Officer of Public Relations; and Newton Mondol, Assistant Public Relations Officer.

The activities featured an introduction to NDUB by Newton Mondol, a talk on the contribution of Holy Cross Fathers to education in Bangladesh by Dr. Fr. Subash Adam Pereira, CSC, and a PowerPoint presentation on NDUB’s vibrant campus life and facilities by Emad Uddin Sordar.

A documentary video was also shown to the participating students, presenting NDUB’s academic culture in a more engaging and lively way.

In addition, students participated in quiz competitions and action songs such as “We Shall Overcome Someday” and “I Am a Musician, Coming from China”, which added an interactive and cheerful dimension to the programs.
