Last year’s best athlete, Ornika Purification, carried the torch around the field, adding a symbolic gesture to the occasion.

In his opening speech, Fr. Patrick emphasized the need to broaden sports opportunities on campus and motivated student athletes to balance their athletic pursuits with academic achievements. He highlighted how sports not only contribute to physical well-being but also to the holistic development of individuals.

Bro. Leo shared an impactful message about the three key benefits of sports: fun, fitness, and friendship, encouraging the athletes to embrace these values in both competition and daily life. “Sports provides us three essential benefits: fun, fitness, and friendship. As you compete today, remember that sports are about more than winning. They shape our bodies and minds, build friendships, and bring joy. Let this spirit of camaraderie continue, both on and off the field. Keep striving for excellence together.”

During the awards ceremony, winners of various events were celebrated, with Ornika Purification and David Tripura named the best athletes, scoring 11 and 10 points respectively.

Sr. Sagarika Maria Gomez delivered a closing note, expressing her gratitude to everyone involved in making the event a success.
