Prokrity Noureen Kashem is a faculty member in Department of Economics. She is an economics graduate from the University of Rajshahi, where she completed her BSS and MSS in Economics with strong academic performance. Born and brought up in Rajshahi, she completed her entire academic journey in the same region. She previously worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Rajshahi (2024–2025), and her Master’s thesis focused on income and wealth inequality in rural and urban areas. She has presented research on income inequality at a national economics research conclave. Before joining the current institution, she served as an Adjunct Lecturer of Economics at Southeast University, gaining experience in undergraduate teaching and academic mentoring. Her research interests include sustainable development, economic inequality, labor economics, health economics, and environmental economics. She is actively engaged in academic and professional activities as a member of the Economics Study Circle (RU) and the Economics Discussion Club, and has served as an instructor in economics training programs.
