Ranet Gomes was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He went to Dhaka Residential Model College and passed S.S.C. in 1999. After that, he was admitted into Notre Dame College and passed H.S.C. in the year 2001. He was a student of Jahangirnagar University (English Department) for one year before he left for the USA.  Ranet earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance with Cum Laude honor from Louisiana Tech University. Based on his results, he was selected to join the “Beta Gamma Sigma” (accredited by AACSB International) and the “Golden Key International Honour Society”, both of which are renowned honor societies that recognize academic achievement among college and university students. After that, he went to the University of Louisiana at Monroe, and earned his MBA degree in 2009.

Ranet worked as a Graduate Assistant in the College of Business, University of Louisiana at Monroe during his grad school.  After graduation, Ranet came back to Bangladesh and joined Atish Dipankar University of Science and Technology as a Lecturer. Currently, he is working as an Assistant. Professor in the Department of Business Administration at Notre Dame University Bangladesh.
