Details
Emad Uddin Sordar (Maruf), a communications professional, writer, and media specialist, is currently serving as the Senior Officer of Public Relations at Notre Dame University Bangladesh (NDUB).
He holds both B.S.S. (Hons.) and M.S.S. degrees in Mass Communication and Journalism from the University of Dhaka. With extensive experience in communication, journalism, branding, reporting and editorial work, he has contributed to several national newspapers and NDUB through his writing, reporting, editing, and strategic communication roles.
Having joined NDUB in 2024, Emad oversees communication, media relations, branding, press releases, publications, and institutional visibility. Before joining NDUB, he worked as a Sub-editor at The Daily Observer and as the Dhaka University Correspondent for The Daily Samakal, where he received the Best Reporter Award twice in 2019.
He has successfully led publication of several editions of the NDUB Bulletin as the Chief Editor, and produced the NDUB Documentary Film, which showcases the university’s identity, achievements, vision, and student life.
Emad is also actively involved in cultural activities and recitation through Swarakalpan Abrittichakra, a poem recitation organization. Furthermore, he previously served as a General Member of the Dhaka University Journalists’ Association, and authored a research monograph titled Framing Approaches of Bangladeshi Media during the Quota Reform Movement (2020).
