Mr. Md. Razidur Rahaman is teaching as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Law of Notre Dame University Bangladesh from May 2022. Prior to joining here Mr. Rahaman taught at the Department of Law of Cox’s Bazar International University (CBIU) as an Assistant Professor. He was the Coordinator and later the Chairman of the Department of Law of CBIU. In 2016, Mr. Rahaman joined as “Research Officer” at the Bangladesh Heritage Foundation. He did his Internship from South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Secretariat in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Mr. Rahaman obtained his LL.M in 2015 from South Asian University withholding “SAARC SILVER JUBILEE SCHOLARSHIP” provided by the Government of India. His concentration was International Law. He has been awarded a full bright scholarship by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) to pursue a Masters’s program in Intellectual Property Law with a specialization in Design at Shanghai International College of Intellectual Property of Tongji University in China. Mr. Rahaman obtained a PGD in International Human Rights, Humanitarian and International Refugee Law from the Indian Academy of International Law & Diplomacy in 2014. He obtained a Diploma in European, International, and Comparative Law in 2014 from the University of Lisbon in collaboration with the ISIL. In 2016, he obtained a PGD in International Relations from the University of Dhaka. He obtained his Bachelor of Laws with Honours from Eastern University in 2012.
Mr. Rahaman has extensive research experience in the field of International Human Rights Law, International Refugee Law, and Intellectual Property Law. He has published research papers in different international peer-reviewed journals. He has written many articles in the Editorial and Op-Ed of the Daily Observer and the Daily Sun Newspaper on contemporary issues of Bangladesh. Mr. Rahaman has presented research papers at international conferences at home and abroad including the conference organized by the WIPO-WTO in Geneva, Switzerland; National University of Singapore, Ryerson University in Toronto, Asian Society of International law in South Korea, etc. He is the reviewer of the Journal of Human Trafficking, Tylor & Francis Group Publishing.
