Characterization of the nanocomposites in solution and in polymer matrix by UV-Vis and FTIR spectroscopy, FESEM, TEM, XRD, TGE, DSC, as required.
Behavior of electrical conductivity in dark and under illumination of the nanocomposites dispersed polymer films were studied in dark as well as under the illumination of monochromatic irradiations. Charge density waves (CDW) were observed in Ag nano dispersed polymer film.

Ph.D. Research
Research Supervisor: Professor Dr. Biswanath Mallik,
Department of Spectroscopy, Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS), Jadavpur, India.
Ph.D. research work in experimental condensed matter Physics embodied the
Dark and Photoconductive properties of some Organometallic compounds
(Ferrocene and some of its derivatives) under various experimental conditions.
Title of the thesis: Investigations on the Dark and Photoconductive
Properties of Some Organometallic Compounds;
The dark & photoconductivity behavior and possible phase transition of ferrocene (organometallic sandwich compound) & some of its derivatives in dry state as well as various organic vapor adsorbed state with varying dc bias.
Dark current oscillations in low frequencies in some organic vapor adsorbed state of the ferrocene (and some of its derivatives) controlled by the applied dc bias voltage resulting from possible surface phase transition of the materials.

Photoinduced desorption of adsorbates from the solid surface of ferrocene & some of its derivatives and photoconductive properties of these materials in pure and dry state.

Anomalous photoconductivity behaviour of these materials at different constant temperatures using powdery material in a sandwich type of cell configuration in the dry and pure state with the exposure of a polychromatic light source.
