The fourth season of the Cultural Fest was successfully held at Notre Dame University Bangladesh (NDUB) on October 10, 2026, showing participation from a total of 12 universities and colleges.
The fest, organized by the NDUB Cultural Club, was graced by the presence of Jahid Nirob, renowned musician, as the Chief Guest. Dr. Fr. Charles B. Gordon, CSC, Pro-Vice Chancellor of NDUB, formally inaugurated the program.
During the opening speech, Fr. Charles highlighted the importance of cultural activities in students’ overall development. He said, “Academic disciplines such as mathematics, physics, law and business offer different theories, methods and perspectives. From these, students understand different aspects of the world. No single discipline can provide a complete picture of life.”
“However, cultural activities help bridge this gap by offering a more complete perspective. Activities such as music, art, recitation, dance, drama and acting complement academic learning by allowing students to gain a broader understanding of life. These activities help students transform into well-rounded individuals and contribute to their development as complete human beings,” he added.

Earlier, the fest began with the hoisting of the national flag, accompanied by the national anthem. A one-minute silence was observed in memory of Krishti Aung Leona, former students of NDUB, with prayers for the eternal peace of her departed soul. A documentary video on NDUB was then screened, followed by a welcoming dance performed by students.
Students from the participating universities and colleges took part in a series of cultural competitions at different venues on the campus. The competition categories were song, art, dance, recitation and cosplay. Winners of these competitions were then awarded and cultural performances were staged.
Fr. Placid Proshanto Rozario, CSC, Proctor, Fr. Edmond Cruze, CSC, Director of Maintenance, Fr. Ashim Theotonius Gonsalves, CSC, Deputy Registrar, and Sr. Shagorica Maria Gomes, CSC, Director of Student Affairs, were present on the occasion.
The program concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. Shahin Sultana, Co-moderator of the club, followed by a live musical performance by Porojibi.
