Go Green, Save Our Earth

Notre Dame University Bangladesh (NDUB) Law Club celebrated World Environment Day 2025 with an exciting event on June 3 at the university auditorium.

This year’s theme was “Go Green and Save Our Earth”, encouraging students to make a positive impact on the environment. The program started with a speech from Dr. Md Mustakimur Rahman, Chairman of the Law Department, who highlighted the importance of protecting nature.

Raoman Smita, Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh and President of Global Law Thinkers Society (GLTS), was the keynote speaker. She inspired students to be kind to nature and feel its presence in daily life.

To mark the day, a neem tree was planted on the campus that symbolized the need for more tree plantation. The event was organized under the guidance of Shadika Haque Monia, Moderator, and Arif Ahmed, Co-moderator of the NDUB Law Club.

During the program, Sr. Shagorica Maria Gomes, CSC, Deputy Director of Student Affairs, Fr. Edmond Cruze, CSC, Director of Maintenance, and Dr. Professor Md. Shahidul Kabir, Chairman of Microbiology Department were present there.

Earlier, competitions like Essay Writing, Poster Presentation, and Recycling Product Display were held on May 27. Winners received crests and certificates for their creative and thoughtful contributions.
