NDUB Business Club facilitate AI and video editing workshop

Notre Dame University Bangladesh (NDUB) Business Club organized a two-day workshop titled “Frame the Future: AI Meets Video Editing” on May 13 and 17.

The event, in collaboration with Creative IT Institute, aimed to introduce students and professionals to how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is changing video editing.

The first session took place on May 13 at the NDUB auditorium. It was inaugurated by Club Moderator Tanzia Rahman. During the session, NDUB Vice Chancellor Dr. Fr. Patrick Daniel Gaffney, CSC, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Dr. Fr. Charles B. Gordon, CSC, Deputy Registrar, Fr. Ashim Theotonius Gonsalves, CSC, and other distinguished persons were present there.

Selim Hossain, Head of Film & Multimedia at Creative IT Institute, gave the keynote speech, highlighting how AI is transforming editing processes. Experts from Creative IT also demonstrated the latest AI tools in video editing.

Over 138 participants attended the event, including students, faculty members, and industry professionals. Commemorative gifts were exchanged to mark the collaboration.

The second session was held on May 17 at the Creative IT Institute. It focused on hands-on training. The event began with a speech by Zia Uddin Mahmud, COO of Creative Business Group, who encouraged innovation and leadership. Anisur Rahman, a senior faculty member and professional editor, led the practical sessions, making complex tools easy to understand.

The day also included a quiz, Q&A session, gift distribution, and a complimentary lunch. A special industrial visit gave participants real-world exposure to AI in video editing. The workshop was a great success and helped students gain useful skills. Participants appreciated the experience and requested more time for interactive sessions in the future.
