Notre Dame University Bangladesh (NDUB) Debating Club hosted an open discussion titled “Global Silence During Humanitarian Crises” on the university campus on April 8.
The event delved into pressing issues such as the failure of international law, the plight of innocent civilians in conflict zones, and the indifference of powerful nations and global institutions.
Participants critically analyzed how selective outrage and political agendas often silence responses to mass suffering across the globe. Discussions emphasized the urgent need for a more empathetic and proactive global conscience.
At the end of the session, Dr. Vhokto Kumar Biswas, Moderator of the club, thanked all participants, club members, and the audience. He highlighted the importance of such conversations in shaping informed and socially responsible young leaders.
