Mahasina Akter Banna is currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Law at Notre Dame University Bangladesh. She has completed both her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Master of Laws (LLM) from Jagannath University, Dhaka, with a strong academic foundation and excellent results throughout her academic career. Her early academic journey includes her Secondary School Certification (SSC) from St. Francis Xavier’s Girls’ High School & College and Higher Secondary Certification (HSC) at Birshrestha Noor Mohammad Public College under the Dhaka Education Board. Her academic engagement is marked by a deep commitment to legal research, structured and student-oriented teaching. She has a particular interest in human rights, legal education, and socially responsive lawyering, which is reflected in both her scholarly and extracurricular pursuits. In addition to her academic role, she has been extensively involved in youth leadership, civic engagement, and advocacy-oriented legal initiatives. She has associated with several national and international platforms, including Community Law Reforms (CLR), Youth Against Hunger (YAH), Bangladesh Youth Mock Parliament (BYMP), and Networking for International Law Students (NILS Bangladesh). She has also served as a Cadet Sergeant (Ex) in the Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC). She has also contributed to academic literature, most notably as an author of chapters on Geographical Mapping, Demography, and Juvenile Delinquency in the edited volume “Street Children of Bangladesh: Making Them Visible (2024)”, published by Empowerment Through Law of the Common People.
