Ahmad Abdullah Mahdeen is a Lecturer in Microbiology at Notre Dame University Bangladesh (NDUB), having joined in July 2025. He holds a B.Sc. (Hons.) and MS in Microbiology from the Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU).

He is an interdisciplinary researcher with expertise spanning immunology, oncology, reverse vaccinology, computational biology, virology, stem cell biology, immuno-informatics, molecular biology, and astrobiology. Notably, he has substantial experience in both experimental (wet lab) and computational (dry lab) research. His research background includes vaccine, drug, gene therapy, and CAR-T cell design, cancer biomarker analysis, as well as phenotypic and genotypic identification of Staphylococcus spp., Salmonella spp., Escherichia coli, plant extract, heavy metal-based and nanoparticle-based microbial susceptibility testing. Known for his enthusiasm, attention to detail, and innovative mindset, Mr. Mahdeen is driven by curiosity and a strong commitment to academic excellence.
